West Allis, Wisconsin is a suburb of Milwaukee and its own little world. Also known as Stallis, Dirty Stallis, Westallica. Some love it, some look upon it as the armpit of Milwaukee county. But no doubt, if you like things a little trashy, you’ll enjoy a weekend in Stallis.

Home of the annual State Fair, a gathering of all the hicks from up north. Composed of a dead industrial center, the cities economy now runs on strip malls, tobacco shops and fast food. There’s a bar on every corner, and sometimes one in the middle of the block as well. The main drag boasts a vacuum store, an adult costume store, a TV repair shop, a shop that sells bowling trophies, a Salvation Army and plenty of liquor stores. A real slice of Midwestern life.
