Motoblot 2024
June 21 - June 23
Motoblot hosts Chicago’s best annual motorcycle event (and they co-organize infinite other rides and events around town). It all started out 20 years ago, when Larry Fletcher led a group of a dozen or two scooterists and brit-bikers out to Lake Michigan for a low-key “rumble” in tribute to the Mods vs Rockers riots on U.K. beaches in the ’60s. In subsequent years, “Mods v Rockers” grew into a huge block party that shut down Lincoln Ave around Delilahs, and for the past decade or so, it’s grown even bigger. Renamed “Motoblot,” it fills several blocks around Cobra Lounge and All Rise Brewery on the West Side, with nationally-known musical artists and thousands of attendees.
This year, Larry and his Motoblot friends have asked scooterists to come back, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that first ride. So on Sunday, our National Vespa Parade Day ride will start and end there, visit that event page for details on discounted admission and scooter meetup/event times.
